Pesticide Bioefficacy Trials
CPRS harnesses highly educated, trained and well-experienced staff and consultants that made its name with private as well as government organizations. It has conducted more than 100 contract research projects in the Philippines and Southeast Asia that deals with the bioefficacy of pesticides, baiting systems, and wood preservatives against household pests.
CPRS also mass rears its test subjects like insects, rodents, and other organisms required by the requesting party.
Toxicity Test
This is to know the effectiveness of a product upon contact. This is measured and analyzed in different levels of lethal doses (LD)
This test is applicable for contact pesticides like aerosols, suspesion concentrates, emulsifiable concentrates, technical grade active ingredients, and alike.
Space Spray Test
This test is given to products that are formulated to be applied in open area or space. This measures the effectiveness of a product in spaces both toxicity and residual activity.
This is done in a specialized chamber with World Health Organization (WHO) specifications.
This is applicable for products formulated for aerosols, coils, electric mats, ultra low volume sprays, mists, and thermal fogs.
Termiticide Test
This test is mainly for products specific for termites and wood-destroying organisms. Termiticides have several applications: 1) for soil treatment, 2) for wood preservation treatment, 3) baiting systems, 4) dusting, and 5) reticulation systems.
Soil treatment and reticulation systems formulations undergo field tests to evaluate the capability of the product to protect a property for several years.
Wood preservation treatment is a residual treatment that measures the protection time of the chemical in wood surfaces against termites and other wood-destroying arthropods.
Baiting and dusting formulations are measured by effectiveness and time of elimination.
